Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 1, 2026 • Effective Date: August 1, 2026

Important Agreement Notice: By installing the SheetsDuty Google Workspace Add-on or subscribing to a paid tier, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please uninstall the add-on and refrain from using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "Customer") and SheetsDuty Platform governing your access to and use of the SheetsDuty Google Workspace Add-on, global pinging network, licensing API, and associated web properties (collectively, the "Service").

2. Service Description & Infrastructure

SheetsDuty is a website uptime monitoring and incident management solution that integrates Google Sheets with distributed health check infrastructure. Key capabilities include:

  • Background 1-minute automated pulse checks and health monitoring.
  • Sub-second HTTP health checks dispatched from global monitoring nodes with strict 4-second timeout caps.
  • Automated logging, triage, and self-healing spreadsheet schema enforcement in Google Sheets.
  • Multi-channel alert dispatching via transactional email with sequential on-call escalation.

3. Account Attachment Limits & Collaborator Seats

3.1 Account-Wide Attachment Limits

To preserve infrastructure integrity, each user account (verified by Google account email) is restricted to a maximum of 1 attached active Google Sheet for monitoring operations. Attempting to run active monitoring across multiple un-attached spreadsheets will prompt a rebind confirmation modal in the sidebar control panel.

3.2 Sheet-Bound Team Collaborator Seats

Pro tier subscriptions grant up to 5 Team Collaborator Seats per attached spreadsheet. Collaborator seats are allocated dynamically by configuring team member email addresses under Alert Destinations in the sidebar control panel. Configured team members inherit Pro capabilities on that shared sheet.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & Cancellation

4.1 Billing & Auto-Sync

SheetsDuty offers Free and Pro subscription tiers. Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via certified third-party payment processors. Upon completing checkout, returning to your Google Sheet tab automatically triggers our post-checkout Pro license auto-sync, unlocking Pro features without requiring manual page reloads.

4.2 Self-Serve Subscription Management

Pro subscribers can access their secure Self-Serve Customer Portal directly from the sidebar control panel to update payment details, view invoices, or cancel subscriptions.

4.3 Mid-Cycle Retention & Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your Pro subscription, your account remains fully Pro until the end of your prepaid billing period. Upon period expiration, your account cleanly transitions back to the Free tier without data loss.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use SheetsDuty strictly for lawful monitoring of web applications and endpoints that you own or have explicit authorization to inspect. You MUST NOT:

  • Use SheetsDuty to conduct Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, flood third-party endpoints, or attempt Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) against internal network ranges.
  • Reverse engineer, bypass, or tamper with backend licensing verification or API authorization layers.
  • Abuse email alert channels to transmit spam or un-solicited commercial messages.

6. Service Availability & Platform Limitations

While SheetsDuty is engineered for enterprise availability, the Service relies on third-party cloud platforms and telecommunication providers. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation against platform-wide network freezes, Google Drive outages, or global telecommunication interruptions.

7. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership

You retain 100% sole ownership of all spreadsheet data, target URLs, incident logs, and custom notes created within your Google Sheet. SheetsDuty retains all right, title, and interest in and to the add-on software, sidebar interfaces, monitoring engines, and trademark assets.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SHEETSDUTY, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SHEETSDUTY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Governing Law & Modifications

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after effective date changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
